Dogs

Why Do We Have So Many Dogs?

If you visit the BHD office, you're bound to meet one of our furry friends! Our dogs are a beloved part of the team, making even the toughest days feel a little lighter. They remind us of the values we hold dear: loyalty, compassion, and understanding. Their presence encourages us to approach each day with a positive, empathetic mindset.

Brandy

Brandy is a mixed breed rescued from Mexico. Brandy enjoys coming into the office to sleep on her special bed and collecting the “treat tax.” Visitors are required to provide Brandy with treats upon entry to James’s office. When Brandy is not in the office, you can find her hiking with owners James and Oz.

Captain

Captain is a seven-year-old French Brittany. Captain enjoys coming into the office where he can expect several treats from Sonya’s office, and at least a few games of tennis ball catch with coworkers. Outside of the office, Captain enjoys exploring Roche Harbor with his family.

Dill

Dill is an ever-curious corgi chihuahua mix. You can usually find in Dill in one of two places: his fluffy round bed by the window or on the prowl for treats. Dill is a practiced treat retriever, so we never worry about crumbs by our desks!

Hansie

Hansel, known affectionately as “Hansie,” comes to us from the office neighborhood shelter, Resilient Hearts Animal Rescue. Hansie enjoys coming into the office to see both animal and human friends, but his favorite place to hang is his forever home. Hansie’s favorite pastimes include de-stuffing his toys and running in the yard playing his own variation of fetch. His favorite place is the bed of his owner’s truck, preferably when it’s on its way to the park.

Hayden

Hayden is a two-year-old British Cream Retriever whose best paw pal is other office dog, Hamish. Hayden enjoys coming into the office for play dates and lots of brushes from coworkers. Hayden’s favorite places outside of the office include grandma’s house and doggy day camp, and his favorite person by far is Tracy’s daughter Elsie. When Hayden isn’t stealing socks around the house, he enjoys playing with his lamb chop toy and on special occasions, roasted chicken.

Islay

Islay, formally Charlotte Sterling Scotch, is named in honor of her parents and her owner’s favorite Scotch from the “Islay” whiskey distilling region of Scotland. Despite her Scottish namesake, Islay is an English Labrador Retriever. She enjoys coming into the office for belly rubs, but most days are spent at home on the couch snoozing and snoring. Islay’s favorite people are her family, but her trusty stuffed alligator, “Alli” is always close by.

Peaches

Peaches, affectionately known as “Peachie” is a seven year old Golden Retriever. Peaches enjoys swimming in Lake Washington and her Lamb Chop toys, of which she requires many. Peaches also enjoys visiting the office to lay on her special couch and supervise coworkers, but her favorite way to spend the day is hanging at home with her kitty sister, Mocha and Sonya’s daughter, Zoe.
